What happens when you open a small bar above a really well known pub? You get the best of both worlds! And that is exactly what has happened with Marmalade Bar which sits proudly atop the legendary Rose Hotel in the Sydney suburb of Chippendale. Marmalade is a fabulous small bar where you’ll find chesterfields, a balcony overlooking the beer garden downstairs and a cocktail list choc-a-bloc with classics. There are about 30 different wines on offer at Marmalade, with about half of them available by the glass, so choice is aplenty here. For food choice there is an abundance of snacks and main course options because all the food that you can order at The Rose pub downstairs, you can order at Marmalade bar upstairs, so you have a full pub menu available to you at this small bar, including a huge range of pizzas!
Marmalade is a terrific bar in its own right, but the fact that it is upstairs from a great pub really does only leave you with one option: go there!
