What happens when an architect, a builder and an engineer get hold of an old launderette? Well, they convert it into a small bar – of course! Darlie Laundromatic is another shining example of how a bit of imagination and good old fashioned elbow grease can transform an old space into something new and fabulous! Imagine, you can now have a cleansing ale in a place where once the cleansing was done by a washing machine and usually involved dirty socks or a dress that had come off second best after a brief dalliance with a class of shiraz!
Darlie Laundromatic is quaint, yet cool, it’s old, yet new and it’s quirky, yet hip. There’s an assortment of tea towels hanging up down the back, if you feel the urge to help out with dish drying duties, but that’s definitely not a requirement. They serve Tsing Tao beer in cans and they were doing mini-dogs and sliders way before everybody else jumped on the bandwagon. Darlie Laundromatic: good clean fun!
