Sometimes in the middle of a busy and chaotic CBD you discover a gem. A sparkling jewel that shines amidst the noise and pollution and that jewel is usually in the form of a café, a restaurant or a small bar – a place that is right in the middle of the chaos and madness, yet somehow removed from it all. There’s a whole bunch of these ‘jewels’ in Melbourne and Sydney now has a few too and possibly no better example than Bulletin Place. Bulletin Place is both the name of the bar and the street in which it is located, or to be exact, the street in which it is hidden. Some small bars like to be somewhat secretive with their location and make it a bit of a challenge for punters to find – think of it as an adult treasure hunt. Often you’re required to head down a lane way, enter through an unmarked door, or climb a flight of stairs to who-knows-where, but rarely do you have to navigate all three to find your hidden treasure … well that’s where Bulletin Place is different.
You’ll have to bring your very best navigation skills with you when attempting to find this small bar for the first time, but with patience comes reward and once you climb those stairs and open the door to the bar you’ll instantly know that the trek was worth it! Bulletin Place is a sensational addition to the Sydney CBD small bar community and our tip is that if you can find it, you’ll love it!
